Niche Marketing is a concept where you target a small group of buyers. Niche marketing is a common path to small business success. No large retailer can be all things to all people, and there are always going to be segments of the population whose needs for particular products and/or services are going unmet. Niche marketing is the key for profitable, time-effective, pro-active lead-generation. But to effectively target a profitable niche, you need accurate demographic information that will allow you to reach your target rapidly and cost effectively. Niche marketing is everywhere, from hotels to restaurants to retail. The mistake most people make is to assume that the key element is price, with one example designed to appeal to the more affluent consumer. Niche marketing is a low risk activity as long as certain essentials are kept in mind. Niche marketing is in fact a useful marketing strategy designed to market to a particular group of customers in search of certain products or services. So for example, you could open a specialized grocery shop that deals only in organic vegetables, rather than a normal all round grocery shop. Niche marketing is a rather loosely knit term that has become sort of a latent buzzword. It's starting to turn into one of those train's that quite a few opportunistic yet unknowledgeable individuals jump on in order to improve, at least at first glance, their imminent appeal to new clients. Niche marketing is the process of finding and serving profitable market segments and designing custom-made products or services for them. As mentioned earlier, for big companies, those market segments are often too small in order to serve them profitably as they often lack economies of scale. Niche marketing is often cheaper and more effective when it comes to how much money needs to be spend to acquire a new customer. Some of the bigger web hosting companies spend up to $200 dollars per client in acquisition cost, because they have enough cash and patience to recoup that expense over time. Niche marketing is very unique. There are millions of niche marketing type websites on the internet, unfortunately few survive. Niche marketing is the process of finding and serving profitable niche market segments. Niche marketing means less competition but much more effort than traditional marketing. Businesses both large and small have found niche marketing to be very profitable. There is no business that can boast that "everybody" is his or her customer. Business anywhere has one rule- survival of the fittest. In short, you have to work very hard to stay ahead of competitors. Simply stated, a niche market is a fairly small group of consumers that have a very specific interest that's not currently being adequately serviced. In most cases, members of a niche market are quite passionate about the topic of their interest. Simply put, niche marketing is selling a specialized product to a select group of people. Most niche markets are things that you cannot get elsewhere.
