Scam artists download photos of good-looking boys or girls to make online mates get infatuated with them. Scam e-mails tend to include certain problems that become really apparent if you take the time to scrutinize the message carefully. Scammers know this fact and they will offer you a great income for only small investment from your side. Here is the hook.

Online scammers can (and often do) slip through the cracks and are never punished for their indiscretions against you. You need to make your complaint well-known if you want the company who scammed you to either change their ways or be completely shut down. Online scammers, who think up new ways to swindle your money daily, have become masters of persuasion with fake documents at the ready for those of us harder to convince.

Users who suspect that they have fallen victim to a scam are advised to contact their bank immediately. Virginia Tech University has set up an official fund for people wishing to donate. Users will not only lose money but they are putting their financial and personal information at risk.

Online scammers are a real problem on the Internet world. Typically the scammer contacts you from another country and asks for money. Online scammers are using increasingly sophisticated fake sites to steal your identity and harm your PC. Thats why advanced phishing protection is so important. Online scammers are taking advantage of today's economic fears. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) urges caution regarding e-mails that look as if they come from a financial institution that recently acquired a consumer's bank or mortgage company.

Online scammers are coming up with some creative ways to dupe users. Sophos, a United Kingdom-based IT security company, has issued a warning about a spam campaign that poses as a news report about Hurricane Katrina. Online scammers are taking advantage of this upheaval to try and trick you into parting with valuable personal information. They are hoping that you will be more likely to open financial e-mails during this period of heightened concern. Online scammers are targeting potential dog owners with lures of pictures of purebred puppies and "free to good homes" ads. According to the Internet Crime Complaint Center, hundreds of complaints are filed each year by victims of these puppy scams.

Online scammers are also combining various frauds and 'blended abuses' MarkMonitor cites how a website's pay-per-click travel ads can lead to malware that gets installed on a user's machine. Online scammers are using the promise of money from the federal stimulus package to get you to download a document on your computer, KRQE reports. The attorney general has warned e-mail users to avoid any messages requiring the download of a document to "process information" in order to get an IRS refund from the stimulus package.

Victims who access such tainted Web sites are infected with malware. Facebook has been hit repeatedly by cybercriminals. Victims who travel overseas may find themselves physically threatened and not allowed to leave until they cough up the cash. This online scam is also referred as Nigerian 419 Letter, where the 419 stands for the section of Nigeria's penal code that this online scam violates.
